WT BOCKBEER

Summer is here. Everyone is in a vacation mood. But this luxury will come to an end this year. What then!? The leaves will fall, a chilly wind will pick up, and it will rain cats and dogs. Autumn... What could be better than after such a dreadful autumn walk, sitting by the fireplace or heater, and cracking open a Bock beer?

This year, we at WT have prepared a great selection of Bock beers for you. Reserve them quickly, as supplies are limited.

"The name of Bock beer originated in Bavaria (Germany), around the beginning of the 17th century. In the Middle Ages, Einbeck, located in the state of Lower Saxony, was a very famous beer city. Einbeck beer was exported to the Dukes of Bavaria, who loved it! In 1591, Duke Wilhelm V of Bavaria decided to replicate Einbeck beer and opened the Münchener Hofbräuhaus, a brewery in Munich. Many brewers attempted to recreate Einbeck beer, but to the great dissatisfaction of Duke Wilhelm V, none succeeded. Around 1612, the Duke decided to bring brewer Elias Pilcher from Einbeck to Bavaria to brew the beer exactly as it was made. Eventually, they succeeded. In Bavaria, Einbeck beer was pronounced very differently, as "Ainpöckisch Bier." Abbreviated as "Ainpöck" and later even "Ein Bock." Despite many Bock beers depicting a goat (Bock in German), this beer has nothing to do with a goat. In the Netherlands, however, beer enthusiasts found this story amusing and associated it with a goat, thus giving it the name "bokbier" (Bock beer)."
