What could be nicer than sitting by the stove or heating after such a terrible autumn walk and opening a Bock beer..

This year we have made a nice selection of Bock beers for you at WT. 

 "The name of bockbier originated in Bavaria (Germany), roughly at the beginning of the 17th century. In the Middle Ages, Einbeck, located in the state of Lower Saxony, was a very famous beer town. The Einbecker Bier was exported to the Dukes of Bavaria In 1591 Duke William V from Bavaria decided to imitate Einbeck beer and opened the Münchener Hofbräuhaus, a beer brewery in Munich.Many brewers tried to imitate the beer from Einbeck, but to the great dissatisfaction of Duke Willem None of the brewers succeeded in this. Around 1612, the Duke decided to bring brewer Elias Pilcher from Einbeck to Bavaria to brew the beer 1 to 1. In the end, Einbecker Bier was pronounced completely differently in Bavaria, namely as Ainpöckisch Bier Abbreviated “Ainpöck” and later even “Ein Bock” Despite the fact that many bock beers depict a buck, this beer has nothing to do with a bok. However, the beer lovers thought this was a funny story that they linked this to a buck and therefore also gave it the name bock beer."
