After the excellent score of 99 points by James Suckling for the 2015 edition of this wine, the 2016 edition gets high international recognition again. The wine scores 96/100 points at James Suckling, Robert Parker scores this wine 97/100 points and Falstaff tops is of with 98/100 points. Beautiful scores for a wonderful wine.
Tenuta Argentiera is situated in the heart of the small but prestigious DOC Bolgheri area, a terroir dedicated to great red wines and synonymous to the celebrated 'Super Tuscan'.
The name Argentiera carries significant meaning: it comes from the silver (“argento”) mines that once dotted the hills of this high lying area of the Maremma – a place rich in natural springs and healing waters.
