The chief
winemaker at Real agrado; Julián Ayuga was included among the top 100 Spanish
winemakers last year.
Julián has been crafting Rioja wines since 1974 (he has dedicated his life to this cause) and is indeed a well-known character in the Rioja region, a lot of young Rioja winemakers have learned the art of the craft from him. He is also a member of the DOC Rioja Tasting panel that evaluates the quality of the wines produced in the region.
Julián Ayuga sometimes, jokingly, says that nobody else has opened more bottles of Rioja wine than him! He has been working with Real Agrado since 2006.
