New: Finca Élez!

His hard work was rewarded in 2002, when Finca Élez became the first winery in Spain to receive a DO (Denominación de Origen). In 2003, the winery earned the prestigious "Pago" status due to its unique geographical conditions. This is exceptional, as Pago wines are subject to strict regulations and are tied not to a region, but to a single estate or vineyard. In addition, the estate works entirely organically. Since 2020, the Villoldo Ruiz family has been at the helm.
What makes their wines unique? The location at 1,080 meters altitude, with a large difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures. Summers are long and dry, and the soils are poor, requiring controlled irrigation. Grapes are harvested at their optimal ripeness, which means the harvest takes place over several days.

The Villoldo Ruiz family has a clear vision: take good care of the vineyards to harvest quality grapes, work with a passionate and energetic team, and bring a high-quality product to the market that makes wine lovers’ hearts beat faster.
