As you may have noticed, we have had some difficulties in obtaining our wines from Wente. In this way we would like to briefly explain the cause of this, so that you may have a better picture of the problems that are occurring in the port of San Francisco at the moment.

As you can see in the picture above, there are countless ships waiting outside the harbor to be loaded and unloaded, the average waiting time is 14 days. Due to the pandemic, a large proportion of the port personnel are at home with corona complaints or have to stay at home due to the quarantine protocols.

Logically, the cargo ships that carry the wines from Wente also have to endure these problems. Not only are we affected by this, fellow importers and other industries are also noticing the impact.
