The 'ANNUARIO DEI MIGLIORI VINI' or yearbook of the best wines, is a tasting organised by Luca Maroni. There are different editions of this tasting, in which Maroni tries to find the best Italian wines and reward them.
In this edition the first prize goes to Cielo E Terra Gran Maestro Primitivo di Manduria 2016. With 98 points this wine got the title "best red wine of Italy 2019".
The jury about this wine: "Sensations: at these levels of extreme concentration and pure impenetrability, nature is a dream, at these levels of oxidative integrity and transformative purity, Primitivo has excellent turgidity and clearness. Then, in the glass there is a distilled juice of berries of the forest, whose cleanness and pulpy, black, porous density, is made of blackberry and violet. Viticulture and technical transformation at levels of absolute excellence. And its majestic and persuasive sea of perfume, taste and touch, their sappy, diamondiferous, maximum persuasiveness, shine in this dense spirit with all their glare, unsurpassed in persuasion and soft/tannic souplesse of expression. One of the best red wines of the year, chapeau."
