Managed by women for 4 generations, the current manager Leonor Freitas was responsible for all the modernization and great development of the company. Currently the fifth generation is also already working in the company and everything leads us to want that we will have another woman in the management Joana Freitas.

2020 - Casa Ermelinda Freitas, chosen by Sommelier as European Producer of the Year for the second time running at the famous English Sommelier Wine Awards 2020.

2020 - The 100 Anos de Vinhas & Vinhos Award, by Casa Ermelinda Freitas

2020 - Leonor Freitas was chosen as Personality of the Year in Agriculture by the Portuguese National Agriculture Award 2019

2019 - Casa Ermelinda Freitas, chosen as European Producer of the Year by the famous English Sommelier Wine Awards 2019.

2018 - Casa Ermelinda Freitas won the Agriculture Award 2018 in the Companies Category.

2018 - Leonor Freitas was the winner of the 1st Edition of the BPI Woman Entrepreneur Award

2017 - Leonor Freitas was awarded the Mercúrio – Prestígio Award, by the Confederação do Comercio e Serviços de Portugal and by the Escola de Comércio de Lisboa, this award being the highest awarded by this organisation.

2017 - Leonor Freitas was featured on the cover of Forbes in Portugal

2009 - Leonor Freitas had the great honour of receiving the Commendation of the Order of Agricultural Merit on 10 June 2009, awarded by the President of the Republic.

2008 - Leonor Freitas received the Innovation and Entrepreneurship award, by the Minister for Agriculture
